What Is Urogynecology?
Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, also known as Urogynecology is a subspecialty within Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology which is dedicated to treat female pelvic floor disorders.
Urinary or fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome and prolapse (bulging) of the vagina, bladder and the uterus – are the most common issues that are managed by this subspecialty.

Dr. Kirakosyan's special interests include: urogynecology, advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery. He currently is the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Buffalo General Medical Center and holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, OB/GYN Department at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
